EXPLANATION:
The IP address you are sending from has been temporarily rate limited due to AOL Member complaints.
SOLUTION:
Complaints:
When an AOL member clicks "this is spam" for a piece of email sent from one of your IPs, this is considered a "complaint". If you are
having difficulty with the number of complaints you are receiving, a feedback loop would benefit you. Once you have requested a feedback
loop you will be notified when a member clicks "this is spam". See feedback loop for additional information.
What this means to you:
The volume of complaints generated by mail from your host has exceeded our current rate limits. This rate limit will be rechecked and
your sending privileges may be restored within the next 24 hours. To prevent this from occurring again, please ensure that mail sent, or forwarded,
to aol.com recipients complies with AOL's Bulk Email Policy.
What to do next:
If you are hosting mail for a customer and forwarding that mail on to AOL, you should make every effort to ensure you are not contributing to the proliferation of spam.
-virus check outgoing emails
-check for spam using a viable spam detection engine
-ensure that your system is not open to abuse of formmail scripts and other mail generating scripts
-consider rate limits for users to ensure that your network is not being abused
