HVU Inquiry/Removal Tool
End users can use this tool to diagnose issues with sending email that result in an HVU:B1 bounce. HVU:B1 bounces happen when users attempt to send email with certain prohibited URLs or domains to AOL members. These prohibited URLs and domains are often associated with spam, phishing, and other problems.
What does HVU Mean?
HVU means High Volume URL
You need to provide the source of the email that caused the bounce message
In order for us to properly diagnose an HVU:B1 issue and find the URL or domain preventing successful sending, you must provide us the source of the email that generated the bounce message - not the bounce message itself!
Simply copying and pasting the email is not enough, as the offending domain or URL may be "hidden" in the source itself.
Where can I find the email source code?
- Microsoft Entourage 2008 for Mac: Message -> Source
- Microsoft Entourage 2004 for Mac: View -> Source
- Microsoft Outlook 2007: Right click on the email in the email pane -> view source
- Mozilla Thunderbird: View -> Source Code
Once you have obtained the appropriate message source, please fill out the form below. All fields are required.
